Good afternoon Guys! If you weren’t able to make the meeting last night, here is a recap:
- First, we heard from member Donnie Martin on behalf of CRADLES, a nonprofit that provides daycare services for parents that are going back to school to get an education whether it is a high school diploma, GED, college education, etc. They pay a small fee and CRADLES helps them with childcare while they achieve their education goals.
- Second, we heard from member Jeff Etling who spoke on behalf of The Rock in Clay City. The Rock is a faith based organization that provides a safe place for school aged children to go after school. Kids can have a meal, they can get help with homework, they have a plethora of activities to keep them occupied. The Rock is trying to get funding to get a basketball court and also to get fencing for their property.
