Nicholas Bryant Casad Memorial Scholarship

Nicholas Bryant Casad graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School in 2021 and proceeded to study at Wabash College. His dream was to be a doctor, specifically a pediatrician. Nick played football at South for four years, however when he discovered wrestling, that became his passion. He continued his wrestling career at Wabash College. Nick spent a lot of time in the weight room and loved training for his matches. He was a dedicated wrestler with an unforgettable personality. His reputation on and off the mat was admirable. He was a great friend, brother, son and grandson.

Tragically, on June 11, 2023, Nick was killed when he lost control of his car on his way to church. This scholarship fund was created by Nick’s family to honor his memory.

To be considered for the Nicholas Bryant Casad Memorial Scholarships, applicants must:

-Be a graduating senior from one of the three Vigo County high schools;
-Have a GPA of 3.0 or above;
-Demonstrate the ability to overcome adversity;
-Be a student-athlete; and,
-Have a financial need.

Annually, an award will be made to one male and one female.
