Officer Rob Pitts

On May 4, 2018, Officer Rob Pitts was killed in the line of duty while investigating a homicide. He was a 22-year veteran Police Officer, spending 6 years with the Sullivan Police Department and 16 years with the Terre Haute Police Department. Rob loved the work he did and took great pride in keeping our communities safe.

In honor of Rob, the Pitts family decided to start a memorial scholarship fund in his name. The scholarship will be presented to upperclassmen college students who graduated from high school in Clay, Sullivan, Vermillion or Vigo counties and who are attending college for Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, or Homeland Security. Rob was very passionate about his line of work, and the family would like to help students who exhibit that same drive and passion continue their education.

Donations made will be added to the Officer Rob Pitts Memorial Scholarship Fund. To contribute, please click here.
