Mary Alice Purcell

Mary Alice was born in Terre Haute on May 27, 1925, to her beloved “Papa,” Louis R. Yansky. She was devoted to her family, which included her late husband of 50 years, Oscar Purcell; son, Gary (Shirley) of Terre Haute; daughter Marianne Jarrard (David) of Bedford, IN son Timothy (Joyce) of Anderson, IN and son Philip (Beth) of Noblesville, IN., a granddaughter, Gena Vansickle (Brian), grandson Stephen Krause (Kristina), grandson Brian Krause (Jessica), grandson Matthew Jarrard (Abby), granddaughter, Jennifer Browning (Greg), grandson Benjamin Purcell (Jenny) and grandson Alexander Purcell, a great-granddaughter Grace Vansickle, great-grandson Tyler Vansickle, great-grandson Reed Browning, a nephew Frank Bell (Susie), a niece Susan Harris (Bob), and other nieces and nephews. She, in return, was dearly beloved.

Mary Alice led a daily exercise class, read a book per week, and cheered for the Indianapolis Colts. Formerly, she worked in various roles including the Terre Haute Day Nursery and the election polls.
