Mission: To provide the youth and adult volunteers in the Clay County 4-H program with the resources and environment to experience real-life educational opportunities to develop skills to last a lifetime and make a positive impact on the community.

The Clay County 4-H Council, Inc. filed the necessary paperwork to commence business activities on November 1, 1965, with the purpose of providing adult and junior leaders in Clay County 4-H clubs training, interaction with others and education for display and competition at the annual Clay County 4-H Fair in Brazil, Indiana. It is an organization run by volunteers who assist additional volunteers to provide opportunities for youth in our community. The Clay County 4-H Council, in conjunction with the Clay County Extension Office, provides 4-H youth with project manuals and provides the funding for many 4-H youth to attend several workshops at Purdue University, including 4-H Roundup and 4-H Academy, as well as funding for counselors who make 4-H camp possible. Additionally, the 4-H Council takes care of many of the expenses of conducting the Fair, including ribbons and judges for projects and competitions. It is also the responsibility of the Clay County 4-H Council to maintain the facilities at the Clay County 4-H Fairgrounds.

The purpose of the Clay County 4-H Council Fairgrounds Fund shall be for upgrades to the Clay County 4-H Fairgrounds by the Clay County 4-H Council (the “Designated Agency”) in Brazil, Indiana.
