Since 1991, the Wabash Valley Community Foundation has provided grants to nonprofit organizations in Clay, Sullivan and Vigo counties. Our board members, volunteers and staff work together to ensure donors achieve their philanthropic goals by matching their charitable interests with available projects, programs and opportunities within the communities. We understand that philanthropy can be a complex endeavor; however, our goal is to ensure your philanthropic experience is as simple and rewarding as possible.

We undergo a rigorous accreditation process to ensure that we are serving you to the best of our ability. In 2016, we received re-accreditation with the nation’s highest standard for community foundation philanthropic excellence. The National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations’ program requires community foundations to document their policies for donor services, investments, grant making and administrations. The knowledge that the Wabash Valley Community Foundation is one of the 500+ nationally accredited community foundations whose policies and procedures have passed rigorous legal and peer review is designed to provide assurance to donors and their professional advisers of the quality philanthropic services we provide.

Whether you make a charitable bequest, establish a new endowment fund or contribute to one of the 572 existing funds, you are counting on us to manage the investment wisely, honor your charitable wishes and enhance the quality of life for generations of Wabash Valley residents to come. The National Standards accreditation signifies our commitment to full and complete transparency and accountability to our donors and the communities we serve.
