At the May 10th meeting in the LeFer Ballroom on the beautiful campus of St. Mary of the Woods College the 100 Women Who Care in Vigo County held their 2nd quarter meeting, here is a recap:
- Jane Nichols spoke on behalf of the Vigo County Education Foundation, asking for funding for classroom grant requests from VCSC teachers
- Rachel Mullinnix spoke on behalf of the Ivy Tech Foundation for an endowment that would allow Ivy Tech to bring in speakers with a focus on medicine through the lens of the humanities
- Stephanie Welsh spoke on behalf of Family Services Association, an organization that provides counseling, batterer’s intervention, supervised visits and much more
Ultimately the members voted to fund the Vigo County Education Foundation!
